Meet The Face Behind Wendy Klein CPA Professional Corporation

I’m Wendy Klein, the proud owner of Wendy Klein CPA Professional Corporation. I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

I began my public accounting career in 1984. I worked for several small to medium-sized local firms, with a lot of hands-on experience that gave me invaluable experience in many areas of practice. 

I obtained my master’s degree in taxation in 1997. After being part of management in many firms, I decided that that type of firm structure did not best benefit many of the types of clients I was working with.

I started Wendy Klein CPA Professional Corporation in 2003 to better serve and foster close relationships with my clients.

My practice began in California. However, after moving to Idaho in 2009, I worked hard to retain my client base while exploring new pastures, setting up a new headquarters and gaining new clients.

After over thirty-six years in business, my practice encompasses not only clients in California and Idaho but in much of the US as well as a few in countries around the world. 

Thanks to technological advancements, my ability to understand local tax laws no matter where my clients reside, and my remote operating capabilities, my practice has expanded well beyond physical borders. 

My adaptability, willingness to learn new things, and the increasingly fluid nature of my business have been a surprising advantage and saving grace during the trying year 2020.

The part of my business that I find most enjoyable is the close interaction I have with my clients. They are not just “clients” to me and many of my clients and I have been working together for more than two decades.

I find having my own practice allows me the freedom to give personal attention to each of my clients, helping me truly understand their business, their priorities, and their goals, adding value to my services. I also am thankful for my business, as being my own boss has allowed me to achieve a balance in my life that I think makes me better at what I do.

I also strive to stay technically current. With my experience, I understand tax laws change continuously and make sure I know new standards and implement the same, ensuring my clients are always compliant.

As an individual, I believe what sets me apart from the others is my personalized service. I think five-star service is becoming an increasingly lost art, and I approach my practice from a fully client-centric perspective. 

I attribute my success to my professional competence and loyal client base. It gives me great satisfaction to see I have generations of clients who have been with me since the beginning and continue to count on and recommended my services.

When I am not at work, my hobbies are many. For one, I am an avid scuba diver. I have been diving since 1982 and find it’s one of my greatest passions. 

I am also an outdoor enthusiast. I try to get in a tennis game every day, ride my bike, hike, stand-up paddleboard, snowshoe and am willing to try just about any outdoor activity you can imagine.

I am also an animal lover and enjoy spending time in the great outdoors with my dogs. I have been a volunteer at our local zoo for several years and think educating people about our natural world is the best way to preserve it.

I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
